Dance Alive was designed as a video rehearsal, castings and production space. Our parent company, Mindfor Studios has many years experience in filming and production of Television and Video. This experience has been used to provide Dance Alive with all the features needed for an effective rehearsal or casting.

Our premises are 500 sqm, suitable for the largest rehearsal. Features include:

• Sprung timber floors so your talent can rehearse all day without leg or back strain;

• Well sound-proofed so you can film a rehearsal tape;
• Live internet streaming for your rehearsal to be watched at a remote location if required;

• Free Wifi to keep up to date during your booking;
• All rooms have a stereo capable of playing iPods, CDs and USB enabled devices
• All rooms have generous full-height mirrors;
• We have clean power, our wiring is brand new from the street all the way through the studio;
• A reception/marshaling area is included in your hire;
• Client fridge is included in your hire, you are welcome to bring your own food or drink;
• A very nice cafe is located next door and catering can be arranged.

Video production or rehearsal prices

Studio 1, 2,3 or 4 - $25 per hour each, $175 per day, $825 per week

Studio 1 and 2 in event mode - gives you 230sqm in a single open area for larger groups - $50 per hour, $350 per day, $1695 per week

Whole Studio - control access, noise and ensure privacy - $75 per hour, $575 per day, $2750 per week

Sound recording - If you need to record live sound then you will need to pay the "whole studio" rate so your sound is clean.

Castings Prices

Castings have a few rules to control the flow of people and to ensure your casting is a success. We recommend Studio 4 for castings. For larger castings please use the front studios in event mode. Casting includes use of the reception area and we provide additional tables and chairs for your guests to fill out the form and wait. Please note the minimum staff you must provide for a casting is 2 - one for the interview and one for Reception, including paperwork.

We also undertake not to have any other major event in the studio at the same time so you can flow your guests through smoothly.

Studio 4 - $45 per hour or $170 half day

STudio 3 - $35 per hour or $125 half day

Event mode $60 per hour or $220 half day

FAQ

What are your payment terms?

Casual bookings pay in advance or bring payment on the day. Regular bookings must be settled no later than 7 days following. Accounts older than 7 days will cause a stop to access.

Do you have tables and chairs?

We can supply tables and chairs for castings or a producers table free of charge. Tables are 1500 x 600, chairs are padded and quite comfortable. We have enough tables and chairs to seat 50. A setup charge may apply for use of a lot of seating.

How many does your reception hold?

Reception capacity is 20 seated and 20 standing. Incidental seating through the studios allows a maximum of 40 seated.

Can the acts change anywhere?

Our bathrooms have been made larger than normal to allow them to double as a changeroom. Bathroom 1 is 10sqm with a shower and can be used for more serious fittings. Fittings for larger shows can be held in Studio 3, which offers full privacy.
