Rejane is a dance artist, teacher, choreographer, producer and director working extensively in Ballet and Contemporary dance. She graduated in classical ballet at the Maria Olenewa State Dance School and London Studio Centre where she was awarded a scholarship. Since then, she has performed with Nu Tempo, Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, Ballet Laura Alonso, Surrey Dance Collective, Second-Hand Dance, StopGap Dance and Dora Frankel Dance in the U.K, Brazil, Greece, Italy, Russia, Switzerland and Cuba. She worked with many choreographers such as Wayne Sleep, Laura Alonso, Jean-Yves Lormeau, Boris Storojkov, Mark Baldwin, Dora Frankel and Gary Clarke among others. Her credits include “The Nutcracker”, “Don Quixote”, “Swan Lake”, “Konservatoriet”, “Postcard from another country,” “Paper Solo”, to name a few. In 2009 she became a freelancer and taught in the private and community sector where she also worked with groups of children and adults with disabilities and over 60s, winning a special Award ”Can Do” from Tower Hamlet Council for her educational work through dance. Rejane has taught for all ages and abilities including professional ballet dancers from English national Ballet. In her latest trip to Russia, where she taught at the World Congress in Dance Research, Rejane was awarded for her contribution to arts and heritage from the International Dance Council-Unesco.
